В работе объектом исследования являются методы и алгоритмы автоматического получения и улучшения качества цифровых изображений в контроллерах для систем этикетирования и систем обработки и распознавания изображений. Цель работы – разработка новых методов улучшения качества и обработки изображений для использования в оптико-электронных устройствах и системах технического зрения. Отмечена актуальность научно-технической задачи по расширению функцио-нальных возможностей и повышению качества функционирования вычислительных устройств в системах управления и контроля качества этикетирования объектов, в частности, отмечена необходимость выделения изображения этикетки с целью определения нарушения качества ее нанесения. В качестве основной корректируемой особенности получаемых изображений выбрана дисторсия.</p></sec><sec><title>Методы</title><p>Методы. Рассмотрены основные подходы, используемые при определении и коррекции дисторсии, выяв-лены их недостатки, проведен анализ основных методов, описанных в литературе. В работе использо-вались аппарат аналитической геометрии, теория распознавания образов, методы обработки и анализа растровых изображений.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Разработан метод обработки изображений для улучшения их качества, программное обе-спечение для обнаружения и обработки изображений этикеток и документов. Предложен вариант определения радиальной дисторсии при смещении наблюдения в различных направлениях. Выполнено моделирование разработанного метода с помощью специально созданного программного обеспечения. Проведены экспериментальные исследования созданного программного обеспечения. Приведены их результаты и отмечены достоинства и недостатки.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Разработанный метод может использоваться в устройствах получения и обработки изо-бражений, функционирующих в автоматическом режиме и применяемых в системах технического зрения и контроля качества этикетирования.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Purpose of research</title><p>Purpose of research. Methods and algorithms for automatic acquisition and improvement of digital image quality in controllers for labeling systems and image processing and recognition systems are the objects of the article. The purpose of the study is to develop new methods to improve quality and image processing for optoelectronic devices and vision systems. The topicality of the scientific and technical task to expand the functionality and improve the quality of computing devices in control systems and quality control of objects labeling is mentioned; in particular, the need to extract the image of the label in order to determine defects of the quality of labeling is highlighted. Distortion was chosen as the main adjustable feature of the obtained images.</p></sec><sec><title>Methods</title><p>Methods. The main approaches used in the determination and correction of distortion are considered; their shortcomings are revealed; the analysis of the main methods described in the literature is carried out. The paper used the framework of analytical geometry, pattern recognition theory, methods for processing and analysis of bitmap images.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. A method for image processing to improve image quality, software for detecting and processing images of labels and documents were developed. A variant of determining the radial distortion in case of the shift of the observation in different directions is proposed. The modeling of the developed method by means of the specially created software is performed. The experimental studies of the developed software were carried out. Their results are provided, and advantages and disadvantages are highlighted.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
